weekly update Nov.7
November 8, 2007
Thanks to your generous gifts and those of others, Northpark has been able to send over $1700 to Christ in Action’s emergency response effort in the Ramona/San Bernardo area of San Diego County. Here’s an article that just ran in the Union Tribune today about the effort, http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/northcounty/20071107-9999-7m7charity.html.
If you’d still like to give or know of anyone down there who could use the resources Camp Hope is providing, check out their web site at www.Christinaction.com.
I’ve posted a new topic on our message board under the Conversations tab about a movie that’s causing some controversy. That’s all I’ll say here because I don’t want to help the marketing effort by giving more search engine presence, but I’m curious to know if you all think this is really a big deal or whatever.
Serving Fresno day is approaching, Nov. 17th… pencil it in or write it on your hand. It’s a Saturday.
November 20th, we’re going to be helping the Fresno Rescue Mission bake some pies right here at our Northpark kitchen. If you’d like to be involved, send us an email
Also, you can help support the Mission by purchasing some delicious pumpkin pies for $8 a piece. Contact Ileene, ileene_dover13@hotmail.com if you’d like to sign up for some pies.
