Hey everyone, remember that this Sunday we will not be having our normal services at Northpark bu having a combined service at Clovis Hills at 5 pm.
On November 15, we are hosting a young adults leadership simulcast and we can still use some more volunteers. If you want to know how you can help us run this event, just send us a message and we will fill you in.

Weekly Update, important dates coming…

Hey everyone, we are in the throes of promoting for an invaluable leadership conference coming up on Nov. 15th called Lead Now. If you haven’t heard about yet, it is a simulcast conference, with local interaction built in, that will benefit each and every one of you (and probably some other people you know). Children’s programming and lunch will be available and we are working with as many churches across denominational boundaries as we can, this will be a city-wide, and community-benefiting event.
Those of you who know me, know that I am not a big “event” guy and I’m an even worse “promoter” (anyone been to an Overdubs show lately?) but I am passionate about young adults seizing the opportunity to lead and serve the poor/needy in local communities and that’s why I am excited about working with Right Now. We need volunteers and we need you to help spread the word. Some promotional materials are here and online tickets are here.
A couple other important dates for Northpark young adults into the fall/winter 2008:
Nov. 15 Lead Now at Northpark, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
Dec. 1 World AIDS Day, Broken Bread Poverty Meal 5:00 pm
Dec. 5 We Are One: Unity through Physical and Spiritual Worship, non-perishable food drive for Community Food Bank
Dec. 14 Everything Glorious Christmas Worship

On Saturday, November 15 we will be hosting a Lead Now simulcast in the Multi-Purpose Room. This simulcast will talk about how to effectively lead young adults and how young adults can become better leaders. This event is not only for young adults, it is also for anyone who is involved with young adults in the church. Message us or contact Northpark if you have any other questions.
